The group was formed recently in response to the growing number of older people in the congregation and the significant growth in the church as a whole over recent years. The purpose is therefore to help prevent people feeling "lost in the crowd" by encouraging mutual care, support and fellowship amongst the older age group in the church, developing as people who feel secure in God's love and are able to reflect this in our families, the church and the wider community.

 

Many activities are informal, although more organised group activities also take place such as lunches and half-day trips on an occasional basis. The group is still developing, with ideas and suggestions always welcome as to how the group can evolve.
