Café One Milltimber's Meeting Place

Milltimber is a great place to live but through the years it has lacked a meeting place were people from the community can come regularly for a coffee and catch up.

Café One is a new initiative that seeks to address this by creating a meeting place every Thursday morning from 9:15am until 12:00noon.

Café One was partly set up to create space for young mothers who would appreciate some time to chill with coffee after dropping off their kids at playgroup or school. As a result a play area is also provided for parents with young children, although parents remain responsible for their children at all times.

Café One however, is not exclusively for young mums, indeed there is an open opportunity for all the community to come and use the facility.

Café One has a mixture of sofas and round tables in a very relaxing environment. It is run by volunteers who provide tea and coffee along with tray bakes and fantastic muffins. A coffee and a muffin will cost you £2 but you can as many coffee refills as you want for free, over the first 3 months.

Café One has been very busy and already a number of regulars have decided to make this their meeting place. Why don’t you come along one Thursday morning and enjoy a chill and a chat with friends and try our fantastic muffins. See you soon ...
