thainstone kids club

The Thainstone Kids Club takes place in a tent at the Thainstone Sunday Market near Inverurie. The club runs for 7-10 weeks during the summer period and is staffed by volunteers from DCFC and other local churches. The club features songs, quizzes, Bible stories and memory verses and each session lasts for about 40 minutes. Two sessions are run each Sunday for children in the approximate age range 4 – 10yrs.

 

The club aims to cater for children for whom a traditional church Sunday school is no longer an option. It recognises that although many parents would like their children to receive some sort of Christian input, for the most part modern life has changed this practice. The Thainstone club is therefore designed to meet children where they are – a Sunday school “on site”. Many parents leave their children at the club while they browse the market, boots and stalls, whilst others stay and watch the programme.
