the lighthoose drop in centre - tillydrone

The Lighthoose drop in centre is a community outreach project situated in Tillydrone Shopping Centre offering holistic support – emotional, material and spiritual – to people in need and in crisis in the north Aberdeen communities of Tillydrone and Fersands. It is a partnership of Christian social action agencies – Prison Fellowship, Bethany Trust and other networking partners.

 

This project is dependent on a team of committed volunteers, from churches, who are involved in running drop in sessions for women on Wednesday mornings and Men’s sessions on Mondays. Where requested, one to one follow up work, is carried out in homes in Tillydrone and surrounding areas.

 

Practical help is provided with clothes, furniture and food ; one to one emotional support is available and spiritual guidance and pastoral care are provided by John Merson, Outreach Pastor, DCF Church.
